Manager:
Nikki Stevenson

My name is Nikki, I began my journey in Wee Care as Deputy Manager in the Infant House in April 2023 and have recently taken over as Manager here at Infants.

I hold my Level 5 Diploma in Childcare Management as well as certificates in Play Therapy, Parental Rights, Mental Health & Well Being in Children and a Diploma in Child Attachment.  I am also the (DSO) Designated Safeguarding Officer here at the Infant house and I am a trained Paediatric First Aider.  I am passionate about continuous learning and developing skills to provide the most caring and nurturing environment for all the little ones in our care.

As a mum myself I know how daunting it can be to leave your baby to return to work but I am passionate about the team here at the Infant house and their amazing ability to bond and support all the children and families in our care.  It is such a privilege to help families began their journey with Wee Care and watch these little babies grow and develop into independent, inquisitive toddlers ready for the transition to our toddler branch two doors down.

Our Ethos

At Wee Care we believe that the first years of a child’s life are fundamentally important. These are the cornerstone years that shape a child’s future.

We believe that children grow, learn and develop rapidly when they receive love, warmth, attention, encouragement, mental stimulation and nutritious well-balanced meals, with this in mind we promote in all of our nurseries:

  • a happy, fun-loving and relaxed atmosphere
  • a warm, loving, safe and caring environment
  • the use of positive language and behaviour at all times
  • dedicated, professional, long-term and highly qualified staff
  • healthy eating
  • the creation of a home from home-like environment
  • flexibility in childcare options
  • equality, irrespective of gender, race, religion or disability
